Barista 101: Latte Art Contest!
Have you been making espresso at home and practicing your microfoam technique these past few months?

I know you have a barista hubby. Will he be entering the competition? Perhaps making a labradoodle-shaped foam figure? I remember fondly those delicate peaks of impeccable foam perched atop Mr. Magoo and my froth-topped java juice while visiting like it was just yesterday.
would Mrs. Magoo be in Shanghai at the moment? How is Chinese coffee? Dying to hear!
Mrs. Magoo and Mr. Magoo wish they were in Shanghai. We will pretend we are in Shanghai, perhaps. While we sleep and dream in Manhattan...I suspect the baristas, while not as adept as in Roma, are probably better here than in Shanghai, and that will be our consolation.
